Profit Pages is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
1. Who We Are
Profit Pages ("we", "us", or "our") is a Shopify application that generates AI-powered product pages and home pages for Shopify merchants. Our support email is profitpages9@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
When you install and use Profit Pages, we collect the following information:
- Store information: Your Shopify store domain, shop name, and store owner email address provided during installation.
- Product data: Product URLs you submit for page generation, scraped product titles, prices, descriptions, and images from third-party platforms (AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, etc.).
- Generated content: AI-generated copy, page layouts, color schemes, and section settings we create for your store.
- Usage data: Pages you create, page view counts, click counts, and subscription plan information.
- Access tokens: Shopify API access tokens required to push content to your theme and create products in your store.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate AI-powered product pages and home pages for your Shopify store
- Push generated pages and sections to your active Shopify theme
- Create Shopify products with imported images and variants
- Manage your subscription and billing through Shopify's billing API
- Display your pages in the Your Pages dashboard with analytics
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- Improve our AI models and page generation quality
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:
- Shopify: We interact with Shopify's APIs to read and write theme assets, create products, and manage billing on your behalf.
- Anthropic: Product information is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate page copy. Anthropic does not store or train on this data per their API terms.
- OpenAI: Product images are sent to OpenAI's GPT-image-1 model to generate AI banner images for your store. OpenAI does not train on this data per their API terms.
- ScraperAPI: Product URLs are sent to ScraperAPI to scrape product data from third-party platforms. We send only the product URL.
- Google (Gmail SMTP): If you submit a support request through the app, your message and contact details are sent via Gmail's SMTP service to our support inbox.
5. Data Retention
We retain your store data for as long as you have Profit Pages installed. Generated pages and their settings are stored in our database and remain accessible in your dashboard.
When you uninstall Profit Pages, we will delete your store's data from our systems within 30 days. Theme assets (liquid section files) pushed to your Shopify theme will remain unless you manually remove them.
6. Shopify Merchant Data
Profit Pages accesses only the Shopify data required to provide its core functionality:
- Themes (read/write): To push section files and templates to your active theme
- Products (write): To create Shopify products with imported images and variants
- Content (write): To create Shopify pages linked to generated templates
- Publications (write): To publish created products to your storefront
We do not access customer orders, customer personal data, payment information, or any data not required for page generation.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Shopify access tokens are stored securely in our database
- We follow Shopify's security requirements for app development
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your store
- Deletion: Request deletion of your store's data by contacting us
- Correction: Request correction of any inaccurate data
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

9. Cookies
Profit Pages is embedded within the Shopify admin and does not use cookies directly. Shopify may use cookies as part of the admin interface. Please refer to Shopify's Privacy Policy for details.
10. Third-Party Links
Our app allows you to import product data from third-party platforms (AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, Alibaba). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these platforms. Please review their privacy policies before submitting their URLs to our app.
11. Children's Privacy
Profit Pages is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Profit Pages after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
